THE IMPORTANCE OF WINTER HYDRATION
Following up on Coach LaClaire's message yesterday on the importance of hydration - it is imperative that you stay hydrated through the winter months. Even if you don't feel like drinking water because it's cold - drink your 6-8 glasses of water per day (minimum 8 oz. / glass)! Sickness is going around and outside it is cold, dry, windy, & bitter air. Also remember you are inside racing at your top performance! Inside with the amount of athletes, spectators, closed capacity, heat, and dry air - there is no better time to take a quick check and ask yourself - "Am I taking in enough water?" If your mouth is dry, feel a headache is coming on, and a minor stomach cramp - it could be the possibility that you are not drinking enough water.
